Finding Yourself

Being the Real You

ABOUT THIS COURSE

This short course explains a central idea in The Chimp Model: separating who you are from the Chimp and Computer systems in your mind. Professor Steve Peters shows how hijacks can distort your view of yourself and teaches a simple exercise to help you define the real you and guide how you want to think, feel, and behave in everyday moments.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

These short, practical sessions give you clear explanations and tools you can use in everyday life. Learn at your own pace while developing emotional skills that help you think clearly, respond calmly, and be the real you.

Use the question “Do I want…?” to spot when the machine has taken over. This gives you a practical way to identify hijacks in the moment and pause before reacting.
